Food Operations Manager 1

Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking aFood Operations Managerfor Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospitalin Gardner, KS. The Food Operations Manager will help manage Food & Nutrition patient feeding operations at this medical center. The Food Operations Manager will develop and manage a team of frontline employees and will collaborate with other leaders of the department and hospital.

This strategic leadership position will report directly to the General Manager and offers a competitive salary and full benefits package that kicks in immediately.

The successful candidate will:

• motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline food service and kitchen staff
• provide exceptional patient experience with an emphasis on food quality and presentation
• help oversee ordering, procurement, and inventories
• ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed

We are looking for candidates who have:

• strong leadership skills and proven success with developing teams
• a culinary management background and exceptional cooking skills
• possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
• a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification, a huge plus (not required)

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
