Plumber Supervisor

Our client in local/city governmentis seeking a Plumbing Inspectorto join their team. As a Plumbing Inspector, you will be part of the Development Servicesdepartment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of plumbing experience, knowledge of plumbing and fuel gas codes, and knowledge of state licensing laws, city ordinances, the energy code, and NFPA and ASHRAE standards.

Location: Savannah, GA

Pay Range: $23.85 per hour

Whats the Job?

• Reviewplans for plumbing systems to ensure code compliance.
• Receiveapplications and issueplumbing permits; scheduleinspections
• Maintainpermit and contractor files in electronic and hard copy formats
• Makeinspections to determine conformance with laws, ordinances, and codes; checkexcavations, backfill, soil conditions, and plumbing systems
• Informand meetwith owners, contractors, designers, and other city departments concerning plumbing code violations

Whats Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus additional vocational training required in drafting, design technology or plumbing
• Three (3) years of journey level plumbing or plumbing construction foreman experience
• Master Plumber Unrestricted License with the State of Georgia within twelve (12) months from employment date
• ICC Commercial and Residential Plumbing Inspector certification within twelve (12) months from employment date
• Valid state driver's license &an acceptable driving history
