Position Summary:

Offers financial advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills.

The liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties.

Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance.

Offers Financial Advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills.

The Liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties.

Verifies insurance benefits and registers patients using HMS software.

Knowledge of Behavioral Health carve out insurance and prior authorization/coordination of benefits.

Bilingual (Spanish) required.

Part-time, 5 days a week.

Education:High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Experience: Six (6) months previous hospital registration, billing and collections, financial counseling, and/or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance (Medicare, HMOs, PPOs, commercial), EMTALA regulations, hospital billing and collection process.
