ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Building Superintendent.
The Building Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the building projects, supervising day-to-day team operations, coordinating supplies, equipment, activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, industrial or other establishments, ensuring performance goals are met. May perform administrative tasks.

• Essential Functions:

• Supervise staff and responsible for hiring, training, discipline and/or termination
• Order and inventory of supplies
• Perform quality control inspections at various properties
• Interaction and face to face meetings with clients
• Create utility schedules
• Perform safety inspections, meetings and audits within corresponding market area
• Communicate safety meetings to the crew
• Receive daily work orders for staff and ensure they are completed
• Coordinate special assignments /requests

• Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the janitorial industry
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage accounts
• Proficiency in using a computer and MS applications, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Clear and effective communication at all levels
• Ability to implement processes and procedures to affect change
• Previous supervisory (people management) experience
• Experience in carpet extraction, stripping and refinishing floors, window washing, power washing, construction clean-up, and upholstery cleaning
• Availability to work nights and weekends
• Must have a Class C drivers license with a clean driving record
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
